Dr Monica Santos: is a psychiatrist working in the Klinik for Traumatiserede Flygtninge (Clinic for Traumatised Refugees) in Slagelse, Denmark. Previously, Monica worked as a locum consultant psychiatrist in the Cambridge Crisis Teams. Trained in Hospital de Magalhães Lemos in Porto, Monica has an interest in improving access to care for everyone and reducing the stigma associated with mental health problems. She has extensive knowledge and experience of managing rapidly evolving mental health emergencies in the community and finding novel solutions to difficult clinical scenarios. Her research interest are in clinical decision making and in supporting people in suicidal distress.
