Ashley is Faculty for Mental Health Nursing at Progress Guide and is a Pathfinder for the State of Texas, United States of America. As an experienced Psychiatric Nurse, she has a broad range of skills with a special interest in suicide prevention.

Born and raised in Auburn, Alabama (War Eagle!), Ashley earned a degree in International Relations from Florida State University and then obtained a Master’s in Health Administration from University of Phoenix. After a few years in the health insurance industry, she felt called to pursue a degree in nursing. Returning to school, she completed her Associate Degree in Nursing at Southern Union State Community College and soon after, a Bachelor of Science in nursing at Columbus State University. A few years later, she completed her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and became a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.

She is a passionate Mental Health advocate and created PsychLife Tee Co. out of her desire to create a positive experience for those who felt “different” by normalizing the conversation around mental health. Her challenge to all mental health professionals is to empower others to share their stories of mental health UNTIL THE STIGMA IS NO MORE! She had her own challenges with postpartum depression after the birth of her son. She has incorporated the learnings from her own healing journey into the holistic care and person centred teaching she provides.
