WHO WE ARE

Founded by a clinician (Manaan) and a social scientist (Chiara) based in Cambridge, UK, PROGRESS.guide aspires to translate the science of mental health into the art of compassionate care.

WHAT WE DO

We are a dedicated mental health training collaborative for healthcare professionals. Our courses are designed to instil best practice, improve performance and confidence.

WE ASPIRE TO:

Support patients through:

  • Delivering training that draws on their strengths and aspirations for a life beyond illness

Equip professionals with:

  • Attitudes that draw on the person’s lived in experience of mental health for novel solutions
  • Knowledge of the latest evidence base
  • Understanding of complex mental health needs
  • Skills to provide person centred care
  • Confidence to deal with challenging situations

Support teams to:

  • Work collaboratively with the person and their natural circle of support.
  • Engage in reflective and mindful practice.
  • Engage in multidisciplinary and interagency working.

Support organisations to:

  • Complement and enhance existing skills of the workforce
  • Meet requirements of regulators and external bodies

Support society to:

  • Embrace positive mental health and preventative approaches.
  • Create communities that are more accepting of individual’s mental health needs.
